Help Samsung Galaxy S3 Contacts - No Export/Import option

Have a new phone so wanted to export all contacts but when I go to Contacts >> Menu, there is no export/import options. Have googled high and low and watched youtube videos thinking am going mad but definitely in right place, just no options. Is this Googles way of telling me.."You WILL give us your contacts, like it or not" .

It sounds like your contacts are stored on the sim card and not the device. Are you able to see contacts when the sim is in the new phone?

So which version of Android is your S3 running? When I have my Contacts running and use the Menu button (lower left) there's an 'Import/Export' selection in the contextual listing. But depending on which email service you're using and how you have syncing set up I'd think migrating your info to a new phone would work out more smoothly by just having your online account do the actual transfers instead of manually copying things back and forth.
