Help Question about displays and electrical interconnects

Android Question

I am wondering how does the LCD in a smartphone link to the main board and what is the difference in phones using the same SoC processor and different sized/ resolution panels. What data standard like LVDS are they using for display link and are different panels interchangeable?

Usually with a flexible ribbon-type cable.

and what is the difference in phones using the same SoC processor and different sized/ resolution panels.

Connections are most likely proprietary to each manufacturer, at least at the mainboard end. The SoC used has no bearing as it's not directly connected to the panel.

What data standard like LVDS are they using for display link

That's best gleaned from the manufacturer's own specs/white papers, if available.

and are different panels interchangeable?

Different panels intended for the same device, very probably. Panels from different devices, not likely.
