Define "really hot" as I would expect a device to get quite warm when playing games on it
I notice mine gets quite warm when using navigation for a while on Google Maps. I know it's not exactly the same, but I would assume the device has some sort of failsafe if it gets too hot so it won't damage the device.
My "Hardcore" gaming habits on my Note5, which include Bejeweled 2 & PBA Bowling Challenge, barely tax the internals.
However, I can feel the heat when running a benchmark app such as Antutu.
As stated in the previous posts, there are safeguards built-in, so the phone doesn't implode.
You may notice this with a temporary performance hit while gaming, until temps fall below that range.
What that magic number is, I couldn't say, but, if you do a YouTube search, look up Erica Griffin, aka the Technology Nerd, I think she did a test/video demo of the thermal throttling with the Note5.........
