Note 5 Died!

Last night my husband got a call and when he went to answer it the screen had this big black blob across it with a purplish pixilation around it. He couldn't answer it because this black blob was covering everything and the screen wouldn't respond to touch. You couldn't turn the phone off or reboot so after googling it I did a hard reset but that still didn't help. This morning when we got up the phone is now completely dead. I tried plugging it in but the lights don't even light up. I also tried plugging it in to my computer but nothing it's dead as a doorknob! Has this happened to anyone else and will Tmobile give us a new phone?

Sounds like a bad phone. I'd exchange it.
