Root [GUIDE] How to root T-Mobile 6.0 update

@TMacgnolia , neither do i. Ive been using the usb data transfer cable that came with my device. Ive installed all the drivers i can think of. My phone is recognized by my pc, i allow the pop up about the RSA key and usb debugging. ( hope thats right). My device is listed when i type adb devices in the terminal. It even reboots to fastboot (on lg screen) mode when i type adb reboot bootloader. When i type fastboot devices, nothing. If I type fastboot oem unlock i get "waiting on devices"Im gonna try linux if i cant get the drivers to install. Could you by chance point me in the right direction as to where i can find the correct drivers? Ive downloaded and tried drivers from posts and forums from here, on xda, and google.

And if i havent said so yet, Thank you guys for being patient and for all the help. I understand its probably frustrating as hell trying to explain something which is more than likely an extraordinarily simple mistake on my part. Ive tried to explain how to just open an app to my Grannie and it blows her mind.

I plugged my stylo into a laptop ( idk which...just some laptop running win8. Wasn't mine so sorry i doubt have much more info than that) but when i plugged my device in the pc began installing the driver software automatically.

Have you looked in the device manager in Windows to see how it has your device labeled when you are comnected and in fastboot mode? This can tell you for sure if it is a driver issue as it will show a yellow question mark if the drivers are not installed. Download the .exe to install the latest lg drivers from here. Like I said before you need to have your device connected when you install the drivers and you may have to connect your device in fastboot mode and re install the driver also.

Now if you want to use linux you can make a bootable flash drive to boot Ubuntu and use it. You just need a flash drive that is atleast 4 gigs. Just google how to make a bootable flash drive for Ubuntu in Windows and you will find toms of very easy to follow guides online. Once you have a bootable flashdrive(or if you choose to just install Ubuntu) you can use install adb and fastboot by entering the following commands in terminal.

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:phablet-team/tools && sudo apt-get update

Then this one.

sudo apt-get install android-tools-adb android-tools-fastboot

Not sure if this is right.
sudoadd-apt-repository ppa:phablet-team/tools && sudo apt-get update
Just as a curiousity, would it work on a vm? I can create a bootable ubuntu drive. Or dual boot into kali. I tried my wifes pc (win xp) and had the same issues. These are the pop ups on my phone @TMacgnolia

so, i acheived unlocking my boot loader. IT WAS the drivers. installed the drivers you linked me to @TMacgnolia
as soon as i tried to flash recovery i got this:

C:\adb>fastboot oem unlock
...
OKAY [ 1.022s]
finished. total time: 1.022s

C:\adb>fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
target reported max download size of 268435456 bytes
sending 'recovery' (11300 KB)...
OKAY [ 0.378s]
writing 'recovery'...
FAILED (remote: unknown command)
finished. total time: 0.400s

so i typed fastboot reboot and rebooted my phone. lg splash screen did state that my bootloader was in fact unlocked, and my phone was factory reset. im at the lg setup menu now.

i uninstalled adb and fastboot, revoked usb debugging authorizations, and uninstalled all lg drivers i had on my pc. Then reinstalled the latest drivers @TMacgnolia linked me to, reinstalled adb and fastboot, and enabled usb debugging. I allowed the Rsa toast, and tried again. Everything worked, up to fastboot flash recovery recovery.img, so i used fastboot boot recovery.img, booted into twrp, flashed supersu, (when twrp asks to install supersu say no!)and rebooted system. I then used flashify to flash twrp, and made a backup.

You can use kingroot if you fully unlock your bootloader just let kingroot do its thing get flashify flash twrp uninstall kingroot boot in recovery flash supersu and done full root and kingroot will be nonexistent no soft brick either I tested on metro version already so if you ever need to resest phone for any reason no need to use adb to root again I dropped the stylo though for s7 but still using it to help out with Roms I stopped on stock debloated to work with cm13 atm
