Repligo discontinued their app in 2014, and I've used it before. It never stood a chance against ezPDF in terms of smoothness and features.

Basically I want an app with continuous highlighting feature that also has a feature to automatically zoom to a column view on a 2 column document. So far only ezPDF is what I've found.

So I've been using ezPDF over the years as my go to PDF app. It's getting quite dated though. The problem is I still haven't found one that lives up to it in terms of features or ease of use. Foxit and Xodo are the closest I've found, and apart from better more modern interface, in functionality ezPDF is still better. Any suggestions?

If you're still using Samsung devices, perhaps this one is compatible:

I have the premium version and, AFAIK, it does those things.

They may have added functionality since last I used it but since it hasn't been updated from 2014 and has been officially pulled from the Play Store, still no go.

Sadly, I plan to use it on my Tab 4 which shows up as incompatible.

I just opened a pdf file and I can view it easily, pinch and spread, etc....
no editing though, no searching

Yup. Very crude. I've used ezPDF to search through 20k page ebooks.

The closest I've come across is Xodo reader. It's free so you guys can try it. But there are a few quirks which makes it less preferable. As I read medical textbooks, I highlight lots of passages. However, Xodo doesn't have continuous highlighting. Everytime you highlight something a popup menu appears, which makes it difficult to read and highlight when a popup menu appears every time. ezPDF continious highlighting just well lets you highlight several passages without disturbance apart from scrolling if needed. Also, one of the features ezPDF has is that when selecting a word, one of the options is search on Web. This is useful on medicsl terms that don't show up on dictionaries. Xodo only has a built in dictionary search.

I think ezPDF has a free version, with a 30day premium trial. Maybe you guys can look at it and maybe you can see better where I'm coming from?
