Have you ever met anyone famous - actor, celeb, sports person etc? And did their real life persona match up to what you expected?
Best I can do is this guy Robert Picardo, who signed my Star Trek encyclopedia at a local shopping centre. He was very nice.

I kid you not but I met Jacob Zuma at a car wash before he become El Presedente of South Africa.

He was driving a really expensive car but this was a long times ago or so before he got so big in politics in SA.

He is a ****ing scum bag. I didn't chat too much to him because I would rate he had an IQ of a gold fish give or take.

He does not even have a matric... couldn't talk that well at all... so yes I have seen an ass hole worse than satan shit head in real life.

He looks even more evil in real life... if a turd and a turtle had a baby... that is what the result would be.

So yes I have met someone extremely famous in real life before they became very famous.

I have met a few in the process of my career (Mike Ditka - Former head coach of the NFL Bears, Marcus Allen - Former running back Chiefs and Raiders, Members of the Dixie Chicks and Rascal Flats, some others) I used to book corporate speaking events and ... well events.

Other than that I was at KCI Airport leaving for Dallas years ago, probably 20 years ago, and ran into Mohamed Ali and his handlers they were very nice and accommodating, shook his hand, yadda yadda - what I took away from it? He was not all there, the years of abuse certainly took their toll. I felt really bad for him.

I met Dorthy McGuire while out dining in the Phoenix area a number of years back. I was visiting my daughter and we were out eating at her favorite Italian restaurant when she pointed Dorthy out to me.
I understand that it was Dorthy McGuire's favorite restaurant as well. After we had dined I had stepped out for a smoke and Dorthy stepped out as well. She was waiting for her husband to bring the truck around and she commented that she enjoyed the aroma of my pipe tobacco. I told her that my mother was a huge music buff and I had a heavy exposure to her music as I was growing up and had gained an appreciation. She seemed flattered that I knew who she was.

For all you youngins out there that never heard of the McGuire sisters...

Pasta Brioni's. I had to text my daughter... I had no idea the name... been too long. I remember it being a high dollar place and in Phoenix. My daughter lived in Chandler. When googling up that vid I posted I see that Dorothy died in 2012. I have another daughter that just moved from Chandler to California. She took her sweetie to Pasta Brioni's for Valentine's Day this year so they are still open.
Great food but on the expensive side. I will say this for the place.... they took care of our party like we were royalty.
