Help What to do about blocked calls that keep showing up???

On my last Note 4 and current S7 Edge I have block calls set up as I get more calls than I like from all over the country. I don't answer any of them, but place them in the reject calls / block calls category then delete them. Yet when any of them call back it shows up as block calls as a notification. Irritates the heck out of me!!! I want them gone, not keep coming back. What is the point of blocking/rejecting a call if they keep showing up???

Are there any apps/programs out there that will BLOCK the calls so they don't show up anymore?

You will be able to do this using MacroDroid by setting up a macro that will automatically reject call numbers identified within the macro. I am not sure what happens once the call is rejected , as far as notifications are concerned.
Nope, macrodroid won't work either. I just got this from them:

I assume you are talking about a notification. You can use the clear notification action if you want to clear it, but MacroDroid cannot stop your system or other apps from creating notifications.

I've been using "calls blacklist pro" for that; it blocks calls and messages and you won't see those in your log...

I have been looking at Calls Blacklist Pro, I understand that if you want to block SMS messages you have to use this app as the default messaging app. How have you found that in practice - any issues with it please?

Would like an idea before I commit.

Thanks

It's ok, but the built-in app, I have to say, is much better. In fact, since I've recently bought a new sim with a new number, I've decided to drop it.
However, if you're really desperate to conceal those calls and texts from your log, I guess this app, or any other like it, is a necessary evil.
