Android 5.1.1 earlier gave the choice of "Always"or "just once"when a task could be done by 2 or more apps.
But now in the marshmallow update ...it doesnt ask for any such choice.
It gives the options without the "always or just once"
And uses the application as default which was used for past 2 or 3 times.
I need those options back.
Plzz help...

On my Galaxy Note 4 upgraded to Marshmallow, even if I clear my defaults the next time I try and launch something that requires a different app and get the pop-up for which app to use (i.e. a browser app and I can choose between Chrome, Firefox, etc.), there is no option for "just once" and whatever I click then is set as the default going forward. Any solutions to get the choice for "just once" back? Thanks!

There are apps in the Google Play Store that bring this feature back.

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.aboutmycode.betteropenwith

This FUBAR is also present on the Note5 & Galaxy S7/Edge.....

Thank you for the solution
This works for the moment
It actually sets the app "better open with" as the default app.
So when any file is open with this app
This app gives the choice of all possible apps to execute the file.
I would like to have a permanent solution if any or has marshmallow deleted this feature.
All suggestions are welcomed.

This isn't a Marshmallow feature, it's a Samsung screw-up. Whether it's intentional or not I don't know, but it seems to be only Samsung devices have this problem.

Just so you know who to address complaints to.
^^^^
THIS!
LG's default function works just fine on Android 6.x...................
IDK WTH Samsung was on when they thought "Hey,people will love this new FUBAR Default twist"................
