So I'm not really a big comic nerd. My knowledge of superheroes is limited to what Hollywood shows me. When I first heard of this movie, I thought it was going to suck, based on my experience with Man of Steel.

This trailer now has me PUMPED

I think this is my second most anticipated movie of the year now(next to Civil War and ahead of B v S).

I didn't think anybody can replace Ledger as the Joker, but just in the trailer alone, Leto sells it. I really want to see more. Harley Quinn looks awesome, and I think it will be a return to form for Will Smith.

And who knows, could this be the movie that makes America accept Jai Courtney? LOL

Going to the 10:30 AM show this morning. Critics are hating on it for the most part.

I liked it. It was a good, solid comic book movie. I don't know what those critics were expecting. I guess they never read comic books. This was sort of like a collected edition with multiple origin stories (very short in most cases) as part of one big overall story.

The forbes guy has it spot on, I'm starting to think marvel is paying off film critics to slate everything DC related. Its getting more than a little frustrating

And I was completely blown away by the soundtrack! I've downloaded it straight after watching the film!

I eagerly awaited this film since I heard they were making it years ago! Pretty disappointed in the outcome. The trailer(s) are awesome, that's about the best thing you'll see imo. (Altho a very good soundtrack). EFX were messed up, including a major battle scene that was covered in smoke so you couldn't see what was happening. Way too much exposition that goes on for the first quarter of the film! And the editing will never win any awards for sure.

Marvel is getting stale. I find myself looking for Stan Lee. That's getting old.

I'd argue that Suicide Squad is Deadpool material.

They're very popular here in China, approved by The State Administration of Radio, Film, and Television in Beijing, and Hollywood probably makes quite a few $$$ here, especially with 3D versions.....and long ago is irrelevant.

When it started makes absolutely no difference. DC has consistently botched their movies, and while they make money, that's only because it is Batman and Superman. Quality has nothing to do with it. Batman on the 90's was mostly a joke. Each individual Superman has been hit or miss, though I love the original, and Superman Returns...

Marvel has a better track record with their movies, with better writing, directing, editing, etc etc... DC has a TOOOOOOOONNNNNNN of catching up to do. And I hope they pull it off. Super excited for WW and Flash especially.

Marvel's Ironman from the 60's versus DC's Superman from the 40's. This is actually an unfair comparison because Ironman from the 60's never made it to the theaters. It was a TV show.

Iv'e got to agree though, the current Marvel Cinematic Universe is tighter than the mish-mash of releases DC have come out with lately. Except Suicide Squad of course.

Personally (and I fully admit my view is biased because I am a much bigger DC then marvel fan) I would agree that it was about on par with Ant-man for me.

Which means I also agree that it was not even close to the awesomeness that is Deadpool!

In terms of the universes though I think Marvel still has the edge over DC. Don't get me wrong I seem to be one of the few that really loved BvsS and would personally place it equal with Avengers. But Winter soldier and Civil war, Deadpool and GotG are still top of the list for me. To be honest Marvel just seems to be more stable at the moment, which I suppose isn't really surprising since they've been building their combined cinematic universe for longer than DC.

I am really looking forward to the WW movie and the standalone Batman and Justice League, but at the same time can't wait for Doc Strange, Thor - Ragnarok and Guardians Vol 2

Also while I like that fact that Marvel is building TV series into the MCU with the introduction of the Defenders. If DC can successfully pull off the Multiverse that they are starting to develop in the Flash TV series I think that will be brilliant and might give DC abit more edge. If only they hadn't cancelled Constantine!
