After the Marshmallow release to the unbranded international model, G900F, for the U.K. back in February and the Korean models G900/K/L/S a week ago, Samsung have released Marshmallow to the unbranded regional model, G900M, for South/Latin America on CSC code UUB and Product code TTT which is for Trinidad & Tobago.

This looks to be the start of the Marshmallow, Android 6.0.1, rollout by Samsung. Here are the firmware details for the release...

Model SM-G900M
Model name GALAXY S5
Country Trinidad and Tobago
Version Android 6.0.1
Changelist 7500820
Build date Sat, 12 Mar 2016 16:17:25 +0000
Product code TTT
PDA G900MUBU1CPC3
CSC G900MUUB1CPC3

O.K.... here is the rough formula for AT&T and Verizon releases.

It takes around 8 weeks for them to add their OS modifications, deletions and carrier bloatware.

"If", they choose to base their release on the Samsung, 12th March build in post #1, that would mean a roll out sometime around mid May.

However, as we have seen in the past, they do sometimes release on much earlier Samsung, pre roll-out builds, and could issue an update anytime now. If they choose to do that... then god help you. Verizon did that with the Lollipop release and it was a complete and utter disaster and took them months to fix. AT&T released on a later Samsung build and experienced far fewer issues with their first Lollipop release.

I'm not sure that I would want to install marshscrewup on my Note 4, it works just fine like it is.

Our two S5s are working okay with 5.1.1 but I don't like it, 4.4.4 was much cleaner and performed better. Actually, one of my S5s is still on 4.4.4 as I never allow the update to install.

I have read enough complaints about how 6.x is upsetting a lot of folks....
like on the HTC One M9, which we have one of also, it has caused a lot of discontent...

Fortunately, when VZW released it to the HTC, they made it optional with a box to check: "Do Not Ask Again"

I was floored. VZW giving me a choice? the sky is falling.

My new S7 says that after a reboot. I think it's like what happens on Windows when you plug a memory stick in - "you've plugged in a memory card, what do you want to do with it?". Must be a 'feature' of Samsung Touchwiz on Marshmallow - something to remind the laymam user that they have an SD card to use. I haven't found any way of disabling it.
