Hello,

I am pretty new to these forums.

Last Friday, I locked my phone off( or it switched off by itself ). When I turned it back on, I saw I had to go through setup again and when I did, all my phone was completely wiped.

I am completely devastated, I did not ask for this at all.

Never owned an HTC before ( Pre_Blackberry.)

I am wondering I can get my content back? I do not have an SD card.

Is there any programs I can download on my computer to get my memory back?

HTC Desire Eye.

Hi

Have a look here: https://www.androidpit.com/how-to-recover-lost-data I believe its good advice.

But, I suspect your issue is a hardware fault. Has the phone randomly rebooted at any time? On this occasion were all of your apps wiped as well? I have had this happen to me - reinstalled it all only for it to repeat a few days later. If it is under warranty and you have any further problems I would send it back for motherboard replacement.

As I'm sure you now realise , its a good idea to use cloud services (or even backup to PC) to back up all of your data on an ongoing basis to cover for this event and in case of theft.

Hello,

Since them, my phone has went through another factory reset.

I decided to forget about the first one because I couldn't be bothered about getting it restored.

But it's happened again! This time, the factory reset has wiped out something important.

( BTW , it did say before I locked off and put my phone to charge that it's going through a factory reset before my phone clicked off white screen page... so?-)
Is there anyway to resolve this? I would love to get back all my information that was deleted on the 29th of Jan, but most importantly I need my files ( I have managed to restore files that I backed up to the cloud recently ) ( voice recorder) lost yesterday.

Where do I find authentic data recovery company Anyone

Data recovery will be of little use if you went through multiple resets, sadly. Had your data been on an SD card, it's POSSIBLE to have immediately removed the card and done some recovery. But with repeated wipes, there will be little to no trace of your data left in the phone's memory. At least some of your files were backed up to the cloud. I know that's not what you want to hear, but that's what I have for you. :(

Well my phone had some voice recorder files post first wipe. I can see they are wiped out. Is there any way I could get those back ( is this the most important) possibly?

Maybe I'm being in denial or pushy, but surely law enforcement is this was a case would be able to trace back everything that was wiped? Also, there's been videos on youtube where experiments of factory reset wiped mobiles data, calls, and even where the mobile previous GPS system locations can be recovred. ( This was done by a CIA official but the purpose of the video is that someone else with skills can learn how to do this so don't put incriminating details on your mobile phones).
Isn't this what happened to the celebrities in 2014?

Maybe this is why I'm so reluctant with this. If Law enforcent can trace anything that was deleting, I'm sure there are normals out there who ( like they said in the video) can do exactly that the people do in the video. Maybe a data recovery can do this as well, but arent as skilled/enquipped/legally can/don't have time ( aka: cant be arsed.) Anyways thanks for your help, I might try wonderfone.

Forensic file recovery isn't something generally made available to the public. There are ways to recover SOME data, but I would have no idea how to go about finding a company who can do it. You'd probably have to send your phone off to a lab somewhere and shell out a ton of money. I guess you could search for "Forensic File Recovery" and see what comes up. Good luck :)
