Accessories LG G5 Cases

Thought I'd start an LG G5 Case thread & kick things off with a seller who has all the currently available OEM LG G5 Cases for sale & in-stock:
http://www.mobilefun.com/53385/lg/g5/cases.htm?man_id=34

I just ordered this one & paid for the middle-tier expedited shipping option,my ETA with their quote puts it in my mailbox around 4/22/15.

A pic for this color variant isn't available ATM,but for a better look on the fit/finish,there is a pic of the pink version.

Appears to be a low profile case,not adding a lot of bulk.That's a plus for me,as I don't want the feel-in-hand changed too much,the G5 has a nice feel,corners have a good radius.

I don't care for the cases that totally change the look of a phone into one that resembles a Transformers action figure. :paperbagdroid: :D

As if I have no better way to spend my money, I ordered these to try out.

Coming from a recovering caseaholic, the case habit is an easy one to pick up. ;)
The OEM LG G5 case that I ordered isn't even here yet & I still find myself window shopping/looking for one to give the Frankencase Alteration treatment to.................. :paperbagdroid: :D

I applied to Spigen to be part of their Reviewer Program and just got approved today to receive a free case in exchange for an honest review (which I will do, for sure!).
Should be here on Wednesday! I can't wait!
Stupid case habit lol

Edit: let me add though, @KOLIO , that case you ordered and pictured in your OP looks very slim and minimal without sacrificing looks! It does look very nice!

yeah, probably..but I have to buy something, I feel uncomfortable with the naked phone. And I want it to stay gold..

lot of positive reviews for the second one.
With the transparent cases, definitely stick with a color-matching or clear case with the Gold G5:
I got the OEM LG G5 Case in Titan, arrived today:
http://www.mobilefun.com/58232-official-lg-g5-crystal-guard-case-titan-black.htm
It gives the phone a rather weird/indescribable look/color (see link for pics) ,but,I'm a sucker for OEM accessories,& I suspected as much when ordering,so,shame on me.......... :paperbagdroid:

The fit & cut-outs are spot-on,I expect no less,it is their phone after all.
As for protection,it's never gonna be mistaken for an Otterbox.

It'll protect against a lot of typical daily bumps & scrapes, but,a couple of areas are exposed:
1) The bottom has no protection whatsoever,If the corners are supposed to be raised ever so slightly, check again LG.

2) While I see no reason to place the phone face-down,a little more attention should have been focused again on the corners of the case. This would protect,a little, when the phone is placed face-down,or,perhaps,with a face-down fall.

3) One other weirdness regarding this case (It wouldn't be LG if it wasn't) :
If you zoom in on the pix, you'll see a dot-pattern in the case. You're probably thinking this is for a better grip.
My 1st reaction to this case was WTH,the textured dot-pattern is on the INSIDE of the case.
Not sure if this is the engineering dept thinking this provides an air cushion/barrier,absorbing energy in the event of a drop,or,the eye-candy team thinking they have the perfect design of the textured dot-look,but,a smooth finish for easier cleaning/etc.....

My take,A BIG WTH regardless:
Any protection from this design is in a simulation only,no real benefit. As for the aesthetics of the look-feel,yuck.
I'm taking mine to work & gonna give it a sandblast/beadblast treatment on the dot-inner surface,in an attempt to cut down on the transparency & perhaps, knock that dot-pattern all the way off the case.
I'll post some before & after pix, hopefully by weeks end.

haha, this is too funny!
@KOLIO, you and I have the same fever! :D

Not only did I receive the Spigen promo case, which is almost identical to my recent case in post 4, I also received the Unicorn Beetle Pro case/belt holster that I'm trying to make the holster work with the Spigen case by modifying it slightly.
I destroyed my earlier Spigen Wallet Case trying to make it work in my Otterbox belt holster (don't ask  ) and gave up on my Otterbox Defender case (too damn bulky) and my EvoCell case (too slippery), and my Katloo Wallet case with rotating belt clip. (too gawdy on the belt and not that quick of a draw from carry position) :( Ugh!

This one made it in today:

Not much different than this render/pic,other than the Poetic "P" logo is clear/transparent.
This is one snug case, cutouts are precise.
The phone can be placed face-down w/no worries, ditto for the backside.
The design is well thought out, feels as if it's truly is a part of the phone,a la a ruggedized phone, but,a real nice feel-in-hand.
I'm pleasantly surprised,to the point that I'm NOT gonna subject it to the Frankencase treatment,by cutting out the inner backside.
Definitely a 2-:thumbsupdroid::thumbsupdroid: here, would recommend for anyone wanting the best of all worlds:protection/Looks/Nice Feel-In-Hand.
