Root not being root in inphone terminal

Really?! You have less posts than the OP. Chill out it's their descision to make. I recomend trying anything and everything. Don't harsh there buzz man

It's how we all learn is from experience. Be constructive and offer some advice. From what I've learned it's actually pretty difficult to brick a phone lately with all the advice, texts and just plain open knowledge on the internet.

Do you have any idea who Unheard is? Post counts dont mean ANYTHING. He spends his time on the REAL eris site. Where the developers are at, instead of the armpit of the android world that is androidforums.com

He knows what he is talking about. You can really mess up a phone if you dont know what you're doing. Especially in adb.

I suppose this REAL site is xda. One forum is no different than another. They're all to get info and exchange ideas. And if you got my hippie reference it was ment in jest anyways.

Like I care how many posts he has or what his screen name means on another board. I wasn't dissing him or trying to bash street cred. Just chillax if the kid bricks his phone it was his choice.. that's what insurance is for. JK again incase you thought I didn't know it voided a warranty of any sort.

Good god man, people need to learn to lighten up on these forums! Thank you for your help BTW with that set cpu.

A) Post counts mean squat, lots of smart people with few posts. Lots of morons with 1000s of posts. Next time I am in a bad mood, I will point some out.

B) Unheard is fairly knowledgeable, has helped me in the past.

C) We dont want people bricking phones, makes us as a community look bad. Given it is fairly hard to brick an Eris without doing it on purpose.

I love how people think that the number of posts you have has some direct correlation to how smart you are.

Seeing as you don't know how to su, I wouldn't recommend you mess around in adb shell. You might find yourself with a borked rom, or worse.

And I think this was advice, or maybe I'm wrong?

Just likr title says, trying to do something get dollar sign and permission denied.

ERISLOVER, are you typing 'su' from the Terminal Emulator, and then pressing return (bottom right of keyboard)?

If at that point a program pops up and asks you for permission, you're all set, if it wasn't already the # sign.

If it's the $ sign and you get 'permission denied', I have to worry that you don't actually have a rooted ROM, but a leaked non-root ROM.

Where did you get the PB00IMG.zip you used?
