Help can wireless charging save my galaxy s6 edge

Ok, so 2 weeks ago my phone started to act weird, it wouldnt connect as a media device on my computer and once stop charging, eventhally it charged but now since last night all i get is a battery with the lightning logo and it goes to a blank screen, will charging it wirelessly be the way to go if i dont want to pay for a new usb port? (Already try buying new chargers and hard resetting)

if it has Qi charging capability, yes, do that.

I have Qi chargers installed in all of my phones.
I did it to help to prevent the USB ports from wearing out.

How fast do they wear out for you? I use my phones extensively for wired tethering, and my Galaxy S still works fine including charging. It's at home actually, sitting in one of the rooms acting as sort of that room's phone. Lol.
