Help Phone turns off by itself

My phone, a Star g9000 (also known as kingelon g9000 or HDC g9000) started turning itself off randomly, a couple of weeks ago, I need to pull the battery to get it to turn back on. I've preformed a factory reset, but it didn't help. I asked a few of my techy friends, one says all I need is a new battery (but according to battery information the battery health is good), the other thinks there's a problem in the charging system. I got no clue. What do you guys and gals think?

Could possibly be a bad battery depending on how old it is.
What about trying to clean the battery contacts both on the battery and device itself? I have used a pencil eraser in the past to clean them, so it's worth a try, and it's free

That's a good idea, it's getting old (I bought it second hand close to a year ago) I'll try touching them up with some fine grit sandpaper

The battery could be loose as well.
Sounds strange enough,especially since this would have seemingly been apparent from day one,but,a loose battery is easy enough to check & rule out.
Fixing it is as easy as shimming it up with a piece of paper on the opposite end of the contacts.........

I tried both, cleaning the contacts and, shimming the battery, but it still turns off, maybe I'll get a new battery, but I'm not sure if it'll help, maybe it's just time for a new phone.
