Launchers Like Go Launcher

Nova actually does includes 3D transitions. I have that cube rotation thing for instance, and revolving door style among others.

Anyway, the most obvious 3D launcher is Next Launcher. Made by the same guys as Go.
When did they add this cause a month ago I didn't see anything like cloth 3D or crystal etc and so on...

The only 2 things I hate about next are the app drawer and EVERY damned theme has that ugly ass iOS dock background bar.

Downloaded Nova again and alI see as far as scroll effects Simple, Cube and Card Stack, yup really awesome 3D effects, I hate that this P.O.S. Launcher is so over-rated for being so bland, boring and simplistic.

Whats the difference between it and Apex, ADW etc Launcher Pro or whatever it's name was, all four were exact clones of anoter, except the only difference is that everybody is namedropping and nut hugging nova, for NO reason at all.

Still not a avid follower of nova

Those are the only 3 available if you go free. I got Prime. However if you are looking for eye candy, Nova is indeed simplistic.

We do not like Nova for it being pretty. We like it because it's stable, fast, and almost no bugs. It's very customizable. You can remove almost anything, even the app drawer.

Plus it's by a trusted developer. Go launcher developers admitted long ago that to earn money they sell the data to whoever in China willing to buy from them. Which means your data is potentially in the hands of hackers and the like.

I tried 3D launchers back in my OG EVO days. The only ones I remember are:

Next
TSF Shell
SPB Shel
Yandex Shell

Don't know if any of these are still around. That was about 6 years ago. I think they were paid apps and way too expensive for some of them.
Yeah I purchased SPB 3D Shell back when I had a Dell Streak Mini, TSF Shell is pretty good, I might give it a whack, I wished there was a Mix between Next and Nova as far as customization and eye candy goes.

Let me tell ya how damn stable Nova is man!!! It's awesome on every reboot or load from another Launcher and going back to Nova I am greeted by this on each home page, that isn't a nova widget. Really awesome stability I'll tell ya!!!

So I'll still rightfully stand by my over-rated P.O.S. overpriced comment, can't believe I paid 4.99 for a Glass effect, ooooooo man awesome sauce!!

Not when I typically have a homescreen setup like this:

Customability??? Then WTF is up with the damn App Drawer icon on every single Dockbar row!! That's unmovable...

I can move all of the icons on the Command Bar row....
Also, Nova has a Widget to hide the Command Bar if you don't like it.

and your home screens are way too cluttered for me....

I like it simple and stolid, and never changing.... I have folders to put all similar stuff in and nothing moves or gets out of place. I keep the desktop locked with my Nova Prime.

Nova Prime's backup capability is a feature I really like, I use the same exact backup to restore all of my phones to the same exact settings. Nothing new to get used to, just a different phone, but everything is where it should be.

Same here the only things that have changed from that setup are the news feed page and the weather clock widget, but I've been basically doing roughly the same setup for the past 5 or so years. I don't even change the wallpaper much at all. Everything's set in stone pretty much so to speak. But I like fancy flashy effects.

You can remove the dockbar row. Once when I was still theming a lot, I had nova working with no dock bar at all, no app drawer button, with apps and certain aspects of the UI controlled with gestures.
I don't wanna remove it just wanna be able to rearrange the icons and remove the app drawer icon from each row its in except one, apparently that setting is hidden away somewhere in the launcher.

Are we talking Nova now? You add or remove it from the dock same as any other icon: long press and edit/remove (or drag it out of the dock). I currently do have it in each of the 3 rows of my dock, but in the past I've only had it on one out of 3. Similarly you can just long-press then move icons - to avoid them being put into folders drag them to the desktop then replace them in the dock in the order you prefer.

Or are we talking crossed-purposes here? I want my dock to scroll independently from the home screens. If you want it to change as you change homescreens that's a different thing (though if I wanted that I'd probably just not have a dock, and put the icons I wanted at the bottom of each page).

I got the home screen layout all setup 3 reboots and widgets still stayed and showed up unlike nova and go where every reboot I'd have to reload all or most of the widgets.

Took 15 to 20 mins of constant widget selecting, loading and resizing but let's hope they stay.

I hate the tedious task of setting my home screen up. haha

Now im not into the 3d launchers, or even having more than one home screen really, but, google now launcher ahem... stable as all heck and brings stock android feel wherever you go. Pretty darn slick.
If it had icon pack support and stuff it'd be a lil bit better, I don't see what's so appealing about a striped down naked android device especially if the device can handle and has all those extra bells, whistles and features built into it at stock already. Naked is not the way for me to be on android yet, not until it improves a lot more on stock traditional features. It'd be about as pointless as having the blackberry priv and instead of using the physical qwerty keyboard but instead using the touchscreen keyboard.

Different tastes. One person's "bells, whistles and features" are another person's "bloat and clutter". One person's "cool and interesting" is another person's "tacky and annoying", while conversely the second person's "clean and efficient" may be the first person's "boring".

That's why there are different options out there. :)
