When using Google search on my Google Nexus 9 tablet the results when I click on them do not open in Google Chrome. Not sure what they're opening in but it's not Google Chrome. How can I change the settings in Google search to make the results open in Google Chrome?

They open in Google app. Clicking one of the results will open that in Chrome if it's your default browser. You can't change it. If you do not want to use the Google app, then you shouldn't use the Google widget.
What an unhelpful remark. Yes, you can change it. http://9to5google.com/2016/04/27/google-chrome-custom-tabs/ personally, I think it's annoying. I got used to the old way and often like to open several tabs at once from the results page.

Dammit I hit delete instead of edit.

Your post does not have a difference to what I said. The search results still open in Google app, with the search links opening in Chrome. And you can't change the search results opening in Google app if you use the widget. Following your instructions, clicking on the widget and typing the search, it still opens in Google app. As I understand it, the OP wants it to open in Chrome, not Google app.

From the OP, "the results when I click on them do not open in GoogleChromebrowser." And considering this was a recent change what I referred to is likely his problem. Also, what you state is not true with the recent update to the search app. "Clicking one of the results will open that in Chrome if it's your default browser." Not how it works currently. Just saying.... But if it will make you feel better I'll say you are right and you can have the last word.
