Help Message+ texts not deleting

Hey what's up guys this is my first post. Recently my LG G3 hasn't been alerting me when I get texts. I can only see that I've gotten them once I open Message+, the texting app I use. Even then, sometimes I don't get texts until hours later. This is really frustrating and if anyone could help clear this up it would really help. My other problem is about deleting texts. Every time I try to delete all texting threads that I have, they end up just reappearing soon after, and causes my phone to lag. This is really annoying and if anyone could help me with these two problems it would be greatly appreciated.

Hello there!
Your thread caught my eye as I use the same app :)
I have the G5 but it probably functions the same.

Did you just get an update via OTA? I seem to remember one being pushed out lately but not sure if it was for Verizon or not. If so, is that when the issue started?

I'm then wondering if your signal (cell signal) has somehow changed as it may be signal related.

Then, what (if anything) have you tried so far to fix the issue?

Well first of all I don't remember Anton updates that happened recently and I don't know what OTA stands for. I'm also pretty sure it isn't my cell signal but I'm not really sure about anything. I've done a lot of soft resets to try to fix it, but nothing changed anti of the times. It started happening last Tuesday, right around where I ran out of data for the cycle, so I'm not sure if that had anything to do with it. But now I have more data and it is still happening. I have turned data off and back on and that hasn't done anything. I turned on the location finder thing on my phone also and that hasn't helped at all either. Im not sure why it's doing this. I also tried deleting all of my text messages but my my phone won't let me do that and they all keep coming back soon after.
