Hello everyone. I'm having trouble connecting my phone to the car. I have a a car that has a screen and voice command.

In my old M9 I had no trouble connecting it, showing contacts, messages and using voice command to call or text my contacts.

In order to use voice command, the contacts must be transferred from phone to car.

Now, the S7 would connect, and show messages and calls as phone numbers only (no names) if I call from phone (instead use voice command in car). The problem is it won't transfer contacts from phone to car and keep saying try again later. And so the result is I can't use voice command anymore to call. I can use voice command if i say phone numbers instead of contact names, but I don't remember everyone's phone numbers.

I'm just tiny bit disappointed that a new phone like this doesn't work with my 1 year old car.

Sounds a little bit complicated, but I hope someone would understand what I'm talking about... any techs or pros out there? I appreciate any answers.

It ought to work. I would reach out to car audio tech support. Maybe you need to purge old contacts before new ones can be imported. Reset car stereo etc. Good luck.
Thanks! I have finally got it to transfer to the car. I guess since it's a new phone, the car is still trying to get used to it. It took awhile to transfer. Had to repeat many times because it kept saying "try again later" I can now use voice command to call or send a message in my car just like before.
