all you have to do is punch that into the dialer right? you dont have to actually press the dial button correct? its been a while since i used a dialer code and i cant remember...i tried just entering them and nothing happens

Correct, if nothing happens then it doesn't work for your phone/carrier.

Those zip files are if your phone is rooted and you want to go back to stock. You can't flash those without a custom recovery (TWRP) and root.

yep i know...id have to root 5.1 again though, so im going to try and be patient and hope the damned metro ota comes through one of these days
