Help Transferring videos and pictures to micro sd card

Sorry if this is late. The only way to do so is to root your Tab 4, and use this app:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=nextapp.sdfix

That's because KitKat disabled transfers to SD. It is possible without rooting, but an app has to be programmed to allow moving items to SD. The app I pointed to allows all programs to back up to the micro SD, but again, you need root.

It's been awhile since I've used my tablets and I might be thinking of the Tab Pro but I thought Kit Kat disallowed third party apps like ES File Explorer from transferring files. But can't you still use the stock File Manager or whatever it's called?

Only to folders that it did not have permission to write to. Granted KK was a little over-aggressive with permission restrictions, but you could create a new folder and move files there.

And, the Tab4 10.1 (SM-T530) is upgradeable to Lollipop.

I must be thinking of Lollipop on my Tab Pro. I bought the Tab 4 10.1 for my dad and never tried moving files on it. Didn't realize existing folders were verboten on KitKat. So you're saying even after changing the default camera to the sdhc moving files to /dcim/camera would fail? But certainly the OP should be able to create new folders on the sdhc and use My Files to move, right?

You don't need to root your device in order to move files to the sd card. Go into My Files and select the files you want to move from your device over to your sd card...then select "Move" and the designated location. Or simply drag and drop them into the sd card folder in My Files. Should be right under the device storage folder.
