Accessories Lanyard

With all this talk of broken glass on the Incredible has anyone installed a lanyard. May not be a bad idea, but darn if I can see how a lanyard fits in that tiny hole.

Anyone know?

It may be pretty nerdy but I don't care. When I'm walking from work jamming my music and enjoying my Incredible it sure would give me peace of mind knowing it won't end up on the sidewalk. And you right, how the heck would it fit in those holes?

You'd use a lanyard such as comes w/ a digital camera. The end that goes thru the hole is small like a few pieces of thread put together, such as the end of this one below.

Phone on a lanyard = pretty nerdy...

If you need to though, what I would do is drill a small hole (tiny, yes) by where the SD card is put in. Then loop the lanyard through that hole. Yes, this would only be attached to the battery case, but it should hold for most situations.

Pull off the battery cover, you can see that the tiny hole is a hook, should be cake to loop a lanyard around it, after threading it through the battery cover, then snap the battery cover back on.

Holy cow, I never would have noticed that if it hadn't been pointed out! Yeah, I think the same straps for a camera would work like the one posted above, but jeeze, break out the tweezers and good luck on that one!

+1 for lanyard. Don't leave home without it.
Screen protectors... now there's girly.

LOL

OK, for me the lanyard is a good idea. I travel to work on mass transit (I'm luckly enough to be able to let my car sits until the weekend) where folks are always bumping into you and students hitting you with bookbags when they turn around, damn kids, so the lanyard would give me some peace of mind.

I would get a lanyard, but I have my Inc with a silicone case which doesn't fit with the car mount, and I'm ok removing the phone from the case to place on the mount, but with the lanyard it gets complicated. I'd have to open the battery door every time I wanted to put it on the mount... not cool.
