Just ordered a white 32GB this past Friday expecting it Tuesday, SUPER EXCITED.

They didn't have Ice as an option and I'm kinda glad, Didn't want to have to pick between them all.

Just ordered the Ringke Fusion clear case as well. Hoping to make some inserts to have my phone match whatever coverplates I put on my New 3DS.

I did the exact same thing.....the only thing is that Google FI connectivity in our home was the pits!! Our carrier was Verizon which gave us excellent service at home (we ditched our landline years ago). We ended up cancelling Google FI and went back to Verizon. I really wish Google FI would have provided the coverage we needed. :-( Happily, the Nexus 6P and 5X work great on Verizon. If it weren't for Google FI, I may have never discovered them.

Google fi lets you make Wifi calls at home (or anywhere with a strong wifi connection)

Here in the UK you have to have a landline in order to get Broadband (and usually therefore, WiFi). Given K4KAI said he gave up the landline years ago I guess it's possible he doesn't have WiFi at home.

In the US, we can have broadband without a land line; I have FiOS but nothing else from Verizon (now Frontier). Course, they try to push you into the packages so you get all three (TV, internet and phone).

First post here -- just ordered my 5x/Carbon/32GB yesterday, may have it by the end of the week.

Got our two 32gb carbons (for my son and myself) and one 32gb ice (for my wife) last Thursday (5/26) through ProjectFi for $250 each. Activated Fi, then deactivated and put my Verizon sim cards back in. Will go back to Fi for international travel and also if I ever get my data-hogging daughter to give up her iPhone or pay her own bill (still in college, so I'm happy to pay it for now). My Verizon plan is 15gb/mo for $100. We generally use 14.5gb/mo. I think Verizon pads those numbers somehow, but my daughter's use would cost me more if translated to Fi. Plus, there's no multi-line discount with Fi.

Anyway, I'm very pleased thus far with the 5x My wife comes from an iPhone 5. My son and I come from Lumia Icons. Marshmallow is an upgrade over iOS and W10 Mobile (I'm a Windows 10 fan, but the mobile platform is not close to ready for prime time yet and should really still be in beta). The 5x is a lot nicer in the hand than I would have thought from some of the reviews.

I have a few gripes, but no phone or OS is perfect. For $250 new, this phone absolutely rocks!

First of all, I've been away from the forums for a while, just checking back in because I've just received a 32GB 5x from Project Fi.

I'll answer lion7718's question from my perspective: I don't like that there's no microSD slot for expanded memory. My last two Android phones have been Samsungs, and I liked the ability to expand onboard memory without paying out the nose for built in memory.

While not a dislike, I am somewhat inconvenienced by the USB-C cable. I've just placed an order for microUSB to USB-C adapters, and USB A-C cables. I think USB-C is the way to go in the future, but for now I'm having to build up my own infrastructure to support the change.

Coming from AT&T, I like that I don't have separate line items on my bill for text messages or tethering. In fact, I like everything about the phone EXCEPT the lack of memory expansion.

Just ordered the 5x carbon 32gb via project Fi. Coming from a Verizon HTC One, I was originally looking at the Nexus 6P, but the size is bigger than I was comfortable with, and with the reduced price on the 5x, that sold me. I also would have considered the HTC 10 , which gets great reviews, but at $675 is quite a bit more expensive. Looking forward to my first Nexus phone & Fi which will save me quite a bit on my monthly bill.

Just ordered the white 32G via Google Fi. I'm really hoping my mobile experience gets better. I've been stuck with a Samsung Galaxy Victory 4G LTE. It only talks on one band - I can't get calls inside my house. I'm hoping this changes for the better. heh. I have good wifi, for a start. So that feature alone makes me a little excited.

Also, the Victory-that-really-is-failure had 2G of storage, and they mapped the damned SD card to it so all you could do with the physical sd card was use it for pics and videos. I never did find a music player that would find music on the physical card, and I was always choosing which very few apps to install before I ran out of space.

So yeah. I'm looking forward to a much better phone with 32G of storage.

I can't wait to install some useful apps that I've had to live without for years. :-S

Got my 5x a couple days ago. 32GB. Paid $249 when signing up for Fi.

Came from Virgin Mobile where I had a ZTE Awe and a Motorola Triumph before the Awe. The Nexus 5x blows both those phones out of the water. The cost for Google Fi won't be much more than VM since I won't be using a lot of data. I was disappointed with the phones that VM was offering, otherwise I would have stayed with them.

Mine arrived yesterday, $249 deal with Fi. I am coming from VM (an HTC Desire 816) and am glad this is smaller, and has so much more internal memory (I got the 32gb). Wasn't sure about not having an sd card but my last was 32 gb anyway (and only 1/4 full, mostly music), so it's working out fine.

I actually liked VM a lot (had it for 6 years and 4 or so phones, used that Optimus V for a long time), service is great here and I had unlimited everything for $35/mo. So now I will watch my data like everyone else. But I rarely use even a gig, even when traveling. I like Fi for the international use, especially data (Google Nav in Jamaican rental car whatwhat??!) and since I use little data, it's slightly cheaper than VM.

I'm still moving things over (like my music...don't have the proper usb cable to connect to laptop anymore so am bluetooth transferring from my old phone) . The Android Beam setup didn't work for me so I had to restore settings and stuff from my apps, but that's all done now.

I'm loving the size, my last phone was just too big.

I should have my Carbon 32 GB today. I know there will be new phones released soon but buying the 5X allows me to see what the Nexus experience is all about on the cheap. I want to stop buying carrier phones and dealing with all the bloat and infinite delays of updates. Plus I can try out Nougat and get timely security updates.

Not being a power user I'm used to running mid range phones and generally don't run into storage or performance issues.

I received my 5x in January started on Verizon, moved to Fi, and am currently on T-Mobile for binge on. I really like this phone. Nougat works well. The phone is priced cheaply enough that I'm not committed to a carrier (my favorite feature).

After I got mine setup and running I went ahead and installed Nougat. I'm glad I didn't wait. It's running very well so far.
Anyone have the poor wifi throughput issue? From what I've been seeing there is some sort of incompatiblity with some router radios. I can only get downloads in the kps range. It's been suggested that enabling Bluetooth would fix the issue and it does for me. Kps jumps to 150 mbps with Bluetooth enabled. Good thing I saw that before I tried to download Nougat!

I should note the wifi issue was present on Marshmallow as well.
