Help How to get pics from computer to phone.

I have a galaxy S4 phone and a Toshiba laptop. I dropped my laptop and now the monitor doesn't work. I can see the lights on the computer when I turn it on but the screen is black. My question is this; is there a way I can get my pics off my computer and onto my phone?

Without being able to see the display on your computer, I don't see how it would be possible to transfer the photos unless they are saved in a cloud folder on the PC. There are wifi transfer apps but as far as I know they all use a component that first needs to be installed and setup on the computer to use.

A couple of things you might consider:

1. Connect an external display to the laptop via HDMI or COM
   
2. Get the display fixed on the laptop
3. Get a new laptop and put the hard drive from the old laptop in it
4. Get a new laptop and an adapter to connect the old hard drive via usb to the new laptop as a storage device.

That's about all I can think of.

If the laptop was already setup for file sharing, you could use a file manager app and transfer the files to the phone.

Most laptops used to have a SVGA port in back where you could just take an external monitor and plug it in. A lot of newer laptops may not have a SVGA port and now use HDMI or some newer video port. What model Toshiba do you have?
