Current temp on always on display

I've tried several weather apps and while they all show the temperature on the always on display, none of them will update more than like once a day. They will update frequently and show the correct current temp in the notification tray though. Anyone know why this is or how to fix it?

Yeah, excellent question! I have not found a solution and have been wondering the same thing.
Aside from my temp also not updating, my battery level won't update either (I have it on the AOD also via another app). The only way they would update for me, is if I reboot the device.
I don't get it. :(

Strange, but a good turn of events....
My phone had an update to 13a yesterday (Verizon), and it appears that the notification for the battery percent in the AOD updates now, whereas before it would not unless I rebooted.
Hmmm, I'll have to test it out with the temp notification :)

Edit: well, let me update...the notification in the AOD does update but only if I turn the screen on, then off vs before the update where a reboot only would update it (but then never update until another reboot).

Ya mine updated too and I have the same result for the temp. I guess at least it's an improvement from before. I never could figure out how to get the battery percent to show using the app you recommended though.

Go into settings/notifications/notification packages, hit the download symbol at the top...a list of notification packages will come up. Pick the one you like and download/install it.
Once installed, go back one page and choose it from the "installed packages" list.
It may take a minute or three to show up in the status bar and also in the AOD :)
If it still doesn't show up, hit the recent apps button, clear them all and open/close BMW again.
