Like many I am struggling with trying to root my ZTE Warp Elite n9518. Nd have using kingroot app v4.9.3 . I am wondering how it is that it seems like we are going backwards. Until I got the latest version just updated 6/17 of this month. I was able to get 63 percent of the way. Since I have gotten the app v4.9.3 /build 146, I can't even get 1 percent. ??

getting root is finding a hole or a flaw in the boot image...as hard as kingroot and others are trying to locate and exhort that flaw...with the updates..ZTE is trying to patch and close those holes....will take time just be patient...

Kingo Root is getting close 90% - Error Code 0x146213
Amazing as the ZTE Warp Elite is almost an antique now.
Why any manufacture would go to so much trouble to lock out consumers is beyond me.

It's really funny as they released the "Warp 7" which is the EXACT same device except for USB Type-C and a removable battery other than that it's the exact same phone.. with Marshmallow. [emoji52]
