Play Store Issue

I'm having an issue when I try to open up Google Play Store. It's telling me that I need to have background data enabled. Yet, background data is enabled. I tried disabling and re-enabling it, but I still get the error. I can't update any apps because of this. Please help

Turn off your phone & wipe the Cache partition.

Re-boot & give the phone a few minutes to settle-in,see what happens......
