Game Service problems! How do I disable or delete it???

Go to application manager. Then to Samsung push services and click on notifications. Enable "Hide on lock screen". Did this 3 days ago and no more notification
I want it GONE, not hidden.

Use an app like Package Disabler to disable them and the issue will disappear. Not just notifications, but the actual updates. Just my personal experience.
They didn't solve it over there, so I will try Package Disabler and report back.

I already tried this before I even started this thread:
When I got to Application Manager/more/show system apps/game service or game tools
both disable & force stop are greyed out.

Same thing happens when I go to Notifications/more/show system apps/game service or game tools.

This game service apparently started after the last updates and it wasn't doing it before...

Try Package Disabler app. It has solved this problem for me with no repetitions/reoccurrences.
They had several to choose from in Play Store. None by that name? One was Package Disabler Pro, paid version... then several other similar... all paid versions. I tried the free Disabled Service... didn't fix problem... now Games Service update shows up twice instead of once!

Tried App Manager, it said this:
System apps cannot be uninstalled via the current configuration.
In order to do so the phone has to be rooted.

Thing is, this didn't start doing Game Service updates until last week after the last update from Verizon... and I've had this phone three months now. So why did it start now???
If you see the the thread mikedt linked to, it looks like other folks have the same issue. As for why it started only now - likely something (bug perhaps) that was introduced in the update last week.

Bloat (unwanted apps/services) are unfortunately a given with most carrier branded devices. Some people don't like S-Voice or S-Calendar - but you cannot delete it off (unless you are willing to either load a custom ROM or root your current device).

Like others have told you in this thread and the other threads where you asked, you can try to disable notifications for Samsung push services, or wait for a fix to be pushed out for this - but regardless, you should be contacting Samsung and Verizon and reporting this issue. Squeaky wheel gets the grease ;)

I went ahead and did a factory reset on the phone and started over. I was having other issues that just started yesterday such as the message on start screen "Process system isn't responding", then all of sudden couldn't send pics via text... seems like a bad update last time. Big hassle starting over, but the issues seemed to stop. I will still go to Verizon today and complain.

Phone is working fine without any glitches after 24 hours... all is good... now if it will stay that way...

Well, after two days, Game Service returned! That really made me  a factory reset for nothing and hours returning everything the way I had it before...
So, like it has been suggested here and elsewhere, I decided to try "Package Disabler Pro" for $.99.
Worth every penny as game service hasn't been back since... it has been five days now.

I would still like to know how in the heck Game Service got installed in the first place and why???

From what you've described, it is a Samsung service - it is part of the default install on your device. So, that should explain the "how". As for the "why", money is usually the motivation behind it - they are probably hoping that you'll buy games from them

OK then, why did it all of a sudden show up after I've had the phone for over two months? Was it one of the updates?

From reading through this and a few other fora, it seem to be only Samsung s7 that has this happening, not S6 or Note 5, etc. and only in the past few weeks or so. So it looks like it probably was a Samsung update and is only S7. So I guess Samsung would have to push another OTA update to possibly fix their problem.
