Help Calendar Confusion

Hi, this is a bit hard to explain but on my Galaxy S6 Verizon with latest software I am totally confused by the calendars apps and icons. I use Google calendar exclusively but whenever I go to schedule an appointment the phone asks me which calendar I want to schedule the appointment with. It show two icons that are exactly the same, except one is blue and one is green. On my front page, the icon is green and when I go into the apps section to delete the blue icon(app?) there is no blue calendar icon, just two green calendar icons??!! I can't for the life of me figure out what these icons are and why there are two and which is Google and which is not. Help please if you can.

Do you have 2 google accounts registered in your mobile? Can you upload a printscreen here to see what you are talking about?

Hi Mad, those colors seem to refer to the colors of appointments within the calendar. For instance, green can be for birthdays, etc. I think, though I am not sure, I seem to have two calendar apps on my phone and can't figure out if I really do. Or are the blue and green calendar app icons actually two calendars of my Google calendar account?

I have Xiaomi Note Pro. I have miui as os. I see I have 2 calendars, one with blue icon which is google calendar and a green icon which is a system calendar. I guess you have the same 2 apps

Thanks for responding. I wonder if there is a way to delete the system calendar(I am not sure what that even means though). The other weird thing is that no where in my list of apps in the apps section of the software on the phone is the blue icon shown. I simply see two green icons for calendar. Maybe I will delete them one by one and see what happens.

You could try disabling the Samsung calendar. You can't delete it unless you are rooted.

In order to delete a system app, you must be root. I don't recommend deleting the app. Better just recognize who is who and use only the one you need.

Yes, that app cannot be uninstalled by me.

The one that doesn't uninstall, is the system. You search for an icon with the today date on it, 30, blue-green color.

What is weird, is that if you view my first screen shot it shows one green and one blue calendar icon. However, there is literally no app on my phone that is a blue colored calendar app. As the second screen shot shows, I only have two green calendar apps. Isn't the Google Calendar app blue?
