Hi all,

I have searched high and low on the Web today to find a solution for this, and it seems no one has one!

I downloaded a data manager app to see why I was eating through my month's data in a week and it seems Android OS is the culprit!

It has used 3.31gb of data and 24.4gb on wifi, over this billing month, that's ridiculous! Does anyone know what it could possibly be?

Hi

What does the data usage option in settings show?

settings
data usage
scroll down and select android OS (or other high user) where it reports foreground and background data.

then switch to the wifi tab and do the same.

Does this report the same as your downloaded app?

If the 24Gb is correct, something must be uploading your SDcard or Storage contents I think. I have never seen android OS use that much data.

Maybe you should download "Malwarebytes" (free from Playstore) and run a scan to check your system.

Is your background data on or off?
