Android Laptop Now Available.....ish

Looks like a cheap $50 Allwinner tablet with a keyboard added....meh!

Kickstarter project as well, why? These things are commonly available from made-in-china.com alibaba.com etc, anyway. Like Kickstarter drone projects, they never seem to fly very well. Kickstarter smart-watches is another one, China, Inc. is already producing the things, cheap and in vast quantities.

Death of Android tablets, I didn't want an Android tablet last year, I bought a Windows tablet because that's what I needed, about the same price. When I see most other people actually using tablets for something, they're often Apple iPads, unless it's something really cheapo, just to keep the kids entertained. I'm quite sure Apple is selling many more iPads than Samsung is selling Tabs.

I suckered into a Kickstarter thing for a super duper smarter flashlight a year ago.

it still has not gone to market. they keep posting "progress reports", but are they
valid, or just outright lies to quiet the backlash?

A lot of people and money were suckered into a drone
project, that crashed quite spectacularly...

If you got the code and willing devs, could probably put Remix many devices.

I got in on the infamous Pressy.
Took forever to get & it ended up being a total POS.
Before they made it to market, there were imitators all over the interwebs at about a 1/10th the price.

One of the few success stories was MEENOVA:http://www.meenova.com/st/about.html

I still use the original to this day, need to get one for the newer USB C Standard.

That's the extent of my Kickstarter involvement, most projects sound quite ridiculous, surpassing the hyperbole of TV infomercials.....

Well, like I said Remix is a proven product, in my opinion. Maybe it's just the comforting feeling of familiarity in a desktop environment that has me. For instance, if I am having trouble grasping disk-space I can just boot into Android and see exactly what's going on..that's just me though. I know Android better than any other Operating System.

Remix OS seems legit,it's just this particular hardware, being a KC project seems suspect.
