Help Help! Downloaded app audio files won't delete (RESOLVED)

Hi all. So I downloaded the language learning software Smigin a while back for a trip to Spain. It has a phrase builder in it, and as such, it downloads audio clips. Unfortunately, they show up in my Google Play Music app. I don't want that...at all. So, it looks like I have two options:
- Go one by one, clip by clip, and delete all 600 some OR
- I noticed that they are stored on my internal storage. So, the obvious choice is to simply delete them from my IS. However, there's a problem:

When I select the folder containing ALL the audio clips, and select Delete, I get a pop up message saying "unable to delete some documents". And by "some", it means "all".

Could this be because I uninstalled the app? Something else? Anyone have any idea?

Since you uninstalled that Smigin app, try re-installing it and check if there's a menu option to delete those audio files through the app itself. If there isn't any such option, go back to your Settings >> Application manager, select that Smigin app, tap the 'Force stop' button, then the 'Clear data' button, and then the 'Uninstall' button.
Also, how were you trying to delete those files? Through Google Play Music or some media player app like VLC or MX Player, or using a file manager app?

I will try re-installing.

I tried to delete via the internal storage. Settings --> Storage & USB --> Audio --> then selected the folder and pressed the trash icon. Just tried it again and still getting the "Unable to delete some documents" message.

Just tried re-installing. No change. Still won't let me delete.

Also, the songs/clips are not showing up on my Google Play Music account when I access it via the web on my laptop. So it seems clear to me that these are files that are stored internally only.

Tried this as well. "Force Stop" and "Clear Data" were both grayed out, unable to be clicked. I think I'm just screwed.

If those buttons were greyed out apparently you installed the app but you didn't start actually start it up (and consequently didn't use it to check if the app had any menu option to delete its audio files). I'd still try to see if the Smignin app can delete those files but instead of using a Settings option as a file manager, try using an actual file manager app. There's probably one that came pre-installed on your phone or just install one like this 'File Expert' app:

Yea I didn't see that particular method until I had installed, opened, found no option to delete, and then uninstalled again. After opening, force stopping, clearing data, and opening app manager, the files are still there. And still can't be deleted.

To my knowledge, there is no file manager pre-installed on my device. I've long been averse to using an app manager due to countless times I've heard of things going wrong with them. Will that one play safe?
