Hello people!

Recently I managed to get into a Samsung device with password and disabled USB debugging.
1-In recovery mode I used ODIN to install a custom rom (to enable USB debugging);
2-In custom rom I mount the date and folder system;
3-I installed the aroma (file manager) by adb sideload command;
4- Finally, I managed to delete the gesture and password files.

In the motorola the procedure is more complicated.
The first step would be (remember that this device is in password and USB debugging disabled) unlock the bootloader. The problem here is that this procedure will erase the internal memory.
My search now follows by:
1-a program or procedure to unlock the bootloader without erasing the internal memory of the device OR
2-a program or procedure to install a customized ROM (and enable USB debugging) without unlocking the bootloader ...

Any tips for that long walk?

Are you using the term "custom ROM" correctly? Some of the things here make more sense to me if you mean "custom recovery" rather than "custom ROM".

In any case procedures to do the sort of thing you ask are likely to depend on phone model or even software version rather than just manufacturer, if they exist at all (e.g. on my current phone it was possible with the early firmware versions, but ceased to be a few months after release).

Do you have a lot of trouble with forgotten passwords?

No, I am not using custom rom because there is no way to install it without unlock bootloader and lose data (I am searching for a way...)

It is a MOTO G2. Can you help me?

Not me, but maybe someone else can (the last Motorola I owned was a RAZR V3 flip phone).

Generally manufacturers make this difficult precisely to stop people using it as a way of bypassing the screen lock. That's inconvenient when you have locked yourself out, but the idea is to stop someone who finds or steals your phone from accessing the data. I'm actually disappointed in Samsung if you can do this without wiping the phone.

Not really sure this is the forum for that. Why? An answer to this question could be used by thieves to access stolen devices and worse yet to access data stored on these devices. Not saying you have stolen it, but you should understand.

I do not know about your country but here, in Brazil, thieves are more interested in mobile than in the data ... lol ... A thief simply do the procedure that would erase the data and do not worry about it. In addition, a thief does not need forums for this information ... Believe in me ... they have more knowledge by thieves than the police itself.

idk if this still works, but i accidentally discovered it hitting buttons on my old HTC. Go to emergency calls, contacts and hit all power volume and home keys. Sometimes the screen for voice command would pop up. When this happens, hit home key and it goes right into the phone..

No success. I have tried another strees hit, bus no sucess too.
