Don't pre order from Best Buy

The waiting list may be totally different than a pre-order.
I've heard a few say they've pre-ordered but not given any money. That I assume would be the waiting list. It's not official.

As for the Pre I'll be betting $100 for mine. Confirmed when I got #1 on the list this morning. You need to have your original BB receipt and all the goods, book, charger, cables, packaging.
I'm a pack rat I actually have TWO sets of everything from where Assurion swapped it.

$100 is about in line with what they're on CL for in my area. One the Evo is released it'll be even more saturated and hard to sell.

I pre ordered at Best Buy and walked out with an HTC EVO 4G receipt for the $50 I put towards the phone and a guarantee that on the morning of June 4th I'll be walking out of there with a new phone in my hand. :D

Same here. They say I'm guaranteed to have the phone on June 4. Now the count-down begins! 21 days to go!!!

Already opted for the invisishield and damage insurance from best-buy along with the pre-order. :)

Buying from BB or Radio Shack will incur an activation fee which you don't get if you order from Sprint online.
no, you still get the activation fee, but alot of times you can talk the sprint rep into waiving that fee, where BB and RS dont have that option, BUT you can call sprint after you buy it and talk to them/complain about the fee and they will sometimes take it off your bill. you dont pay that fee to bb or RS, its tacked onto your next bill!

What got me at Best Buy was they told me the non-contract price was $550, not $450. He told me that a lot of times BB had different "full" prices than other retailers because they don't make money on the purchase of just the phone... I walked right next door to the Sprint store and they told me it would be $450 and just to get there early. I'll chance it...

i hate the idea of mail in rebate and evryone keeps sayin BB gives u instant rebate instead. do others like shack and sprint do this as well?

I don't think Sprint gives you the instant rebate. Radio Shack from my experience asking about another phone, does give instant rebates like Best Buy. Best buy gives you a $50 gift card, while from what I gather from this forum, Radio Shack gives a $20 credit. Both towards accessories that you might buy with the phone.

I have my $50 girft card, receipt and pre-order form in hand. And I triple checked that that secures a phone in my hand on the 4th. You can also get the activation fee waived...

So I am not sure what waiting list you are talking about....Maybe for those who don't want to pay the deposit?

The BB flyer I saw also said the fone is $450 w/o contract.
