Best Android app for finding my car in a parking lot

My sister and I share a defect. We often cannot find our cars in a parking lot. we simply forget where is was parked. The rest of our memory is fine.

I've tried two car finding Android apps and they were not helpful. Not precise enough.

Which car finding app you you recommend?

I have MyCar Locator Free (by nomadrobot), on my phone. I admit that I rarely use it, but on those few occasions when I have made use of it, it worked perfectly well.

As for other Android apps not having been precisely enough, all I can offer is that this app uses GPS to fix your car's location, which ought to lead you to within a few yards of your car. ('Course, I would have thought most/all car finder apps use GPS, so I'm a little surprised that the ones you've previously tried proved insufficiently accurate.)

Naturally, if the app relies on GPS, and you're parked in a multi-story steel and concrete parking garage, the app will likely disappoint. But then, if I'm parked in such a garage I'll typically have a parking ticket for the garage. Jotting down the level and section in which I'm parked on the ticket and taking the ticket with me would make sense in such a case, were I not willing to trust my memory.

I've had Carrr Matey on my phones for years. It's pretty accurate, not right to the driver's side door accurate, within a few yards accurate...and I figure if I can get that close and not find my car I shouldn't be driving anyway! It works and it's pirate themed, what more could you want?

Thank you all. May I run all three simultaneously to see which one is the easiest and most accurate?

Why do these apps need access to pictures and files?

You can use as many as you wish to simultaneously but don't forget your battery will be getting tapped pretty hard. Also, don't forget to come back and post your opinions on what works out best for you.

I don't know why these need access to ones' photo library but apps often require permissions for a lot of things that don't seem obvious, it's often just a judgement call. Looking over the screencaps on the Google Play pages these apps appear to also rely on satellite imagery from Google Maps and other online sources so perhaps some of the saved location data is stored on your phone.

Wow! That MCLF rocks. Tested it tonight and it guided me to my car exactly. Thank you. Don't know how to use it completely. Does one just walk to get the dots closer?

Where are the instructions?

I like the way it estimates the number of feet from the phone to the car.

Not better necessarily, but,if you have your location settings set for high accuracy, you'll see a map of where you've been.
Use your browser & search for Google Dashboard.......
Try it on your desktop PC 1st,to get a better idea of all the information Google collects, among them, location/search/audio history /etc.......
