OTT MXQ PRO 4K Update broken

Hello Everyone,

I have recently bought my one of those boxes and everything was fine with the box until screen was going pink from time to time. I found out the I need to enable Force RGB output which was meant to be under More Settings > Display. It was not there and I found that I need to update the box. I found an update that matched the version I had on my box P201 : http://chinagadgetsreviews.com/down...-5-1-1-stock-firmware-mxq-pro-tv-box-2-5.html I followed the tutorial to go into recovery and update, unfortunately it bricked my box and the screen went black. Then, I found that I need to use the Amlogic burning tool and install new image, I could not find a matching image so I used one from entertaiment box, then Hugsun: http://chinagadgetsreviews.com/download-5-1-1-firmware-for-hugsun-mxq-pro.html, then Eny: http://chinagadgetsreviews.com/down...-1-1-stock-firmware-eny-mxq-pro-tv-box-3.html , then few other which I cant find right now. The change of the firmware worked fine, however none of them have the option to Force RGB and my Remote does not work with any of them. I am attaching an image of my settings before any of the upgrades, could anyone give me a tip which software to use to get the Force RGB and get my remote to work ? I have read that I need to edit remote file, however I cannot find any tutorial on how to do it.

Hi I hope you have solved your problem, mine is exactly the same. New box and every few minutes the screen flashes to pink and green. It corrects itself then a few minutes later, boom pink screen again. Please I would love any advice to help cure my OTT mxq pro box. Thanks in advance Duncan

Greetings, all.
No desire to hijack this thread, but have a similar problem, possibly related?
See there are multiple threads, no desire to start a third, or post to all, but could use some advice, point me to the more appropriate thread? Understand this is generic question, not truly an Android problem, but have found many smart helpful people here.

Am very good at troubleshooting mechanical systems, but this problem truly has me confused.

Briefly: Lenovo Flex 2-15 with display problems. (Regret purchase, that's another story) I see evidence that points to several possible culprits, as well as evidence suggesting each is not the guilty component.
First thought was a cable issue, but no longer as convinced.

Spoiler: The problem and the blah, blah.

Problem: Display has overall pink tint, heavier around the perimeter, occasional greens and other colors. Very noticeable "tracers" behind moving cursor/pointer. Objects/text displayed for only brief moments will remain ghosted or "burned in" for extended periods of time, (days) even after multiple restarts, battery (not removable externally, but) left at full discharge for several days.

Symptoms first arose very suddenly aprox. 6 months ago, completely resolved its self (just as suddenly) a week later, (without any action or settings adjustment on my part) and device functioned perfectly until returned a week ago. Suggests not the display its self. If I direct the display output to external monitor via HDMI cable, perfect image. Leads me to think nothing wrong with video card, signal to display more likely corrupted by bad cable on the way.
Problem has never shown any change when the display is flexed to any position, through its full range of motion. Could still be a cable, but I would imagine most likely failure at that flex point, it would react when "poked".
And how to account for the tracers and "burn in"? That seems to me more like a software problem, rather than a hardware cable or display problem. There must be a partial cable failure that could prevent an otherwise good display from "refreshing" properly, emulating a "bad" video signal, one complete with image components displayed days ago?

Likely an easy fix, once problem isolated, but unsure where to start, reluctant to spend much time or money on a device I've never enjoyed much anyway; On the other hand, why not fix something with so many miles left in it?

P.S. Likely entirely independent, but another spooky software kind of recurring issue, could possibly be related: In certain program environments, the left (and only the left) "SHIFT" key will not function. No matter how you tickle or mash it, how nicely you talk to it. Works perfectly as soon as you enter some other program. Other times, the exact same thing happens with the "Volume up" key, while volume "down" remains unaffected. Unlikely hardware, as reliably happy most of the time, and acted up from the day new.
