Both 2016 Nexus devices will be available from Verizon

Evan Blass has just shared that both Nexus devices will be making their way to Verizon. Unfortunately, Evan's Tweet implies that Verizon may spoil things for Nexus fans by including a few of the service provider's apps on the phones.

If you buy through Verizon your Nexus will be locked to their network, branded (physically marked) and include carrier bloat. NOW you can remove the bloat, you can probably remove the branding, but if you do a payment plan on the phone it will remain locked "at least" until it's paid off. If you buy it at full price it will still come network locked but you should be able to get an unlock code with some negotiation with Verizon.

My question is ... why would you pay full price and buy through a carrier anyway? Additionally, if you want pure Nexus and a payment plan, look into Project Fi. ;)
