Thinking about Buying Verizon Droid

I have been waiting for months for the new Omnia 2 smartphone.
Now Verizon has the Droid coming out so I am confused.
Is the Android phone a good contact manager phone? I need it to sync with Outlook.
Can I download my Itunes music into it?

Welcome to the AF forums and enjoy your visits !!
phone
depends on what level of contact management you are looking for ... Contacts Sync'd from the to the Cloud of a gmail account and from the Cloud to the phone almost instantly is a great feature ..

Phone Contacts, Calendar, and Gmail Syncing in real time is the foundation of a Google-Android Platform ...

I am sure that Outlook sync is available for most android platforms .... but not being an outlook user I cant say how good it is from personal experience

I think its to early to tell but so far it is a very nice device. things it is missing.
Push email support for 'any' email.
Sort contacts by company.
No real speed dial. come-on. it super simple to dial via dialpad number.
Im sync'ing ACT via companionlink/google and i cannot have special fields.I cannot seem to sort by groups as all contacts are in one group from the sync.
it takes more pushes to use as a phone then 'a phone'. no dedicated send/end.
No programable key for voice command.
No memo sync with your contact manager. pain in the ass there. I went to an app gdocs to have a memo pad with a back up.
Need to find a 3rd party app for secure notes.

so far thats about it for the bad. i didn't talk about what it can do btw.
It is a great device with a wonderful screen.
Hope that helps
