Screen Protector and Cases for this phone.

Hey guys,

I'm about to pull the trigger on this ZTE Zmax Pro and am excited as hell. However, before I do so I would like to have everything ready for me like the case and screen protector.


I've been browsing ebay and Amazon for a good screen protector and can't for the life of me find one with reviews confirming it has the right fit, by the way I am looking for a glass screen protector.


The same thing with cases. Well, kinda. I found a one case that seems o fit my needs (slim) but the more options the better.


Anyone else here have a solution or stuck with the same Problem?

There just isn't much out for this phone at the moment as far as accessories. Very few options on cases/glass screen protectors. I have an EVOCEL case and I actually really like it. Has the rugged look that I like and the kickstand is made to look like a logo.

The phone is new. Give it a couple of months and you'll have more options to accessorize your zmax pro.

I'm afraid that you will have to wait a little longer, there is no available accessories for the Zmax Pro yet.

I bought a case on Amazon from Circle Malls but the screen protector is way off. The case itself is passable but leaves alot to be desired. I'd wait awhile to let more manufacturers design better cases.

MetroPCS has almost nothing..sold me a smoke silicone case, very soft and flimsy...worthless. I just grabbed a leather fold case on AMZ from 'borntech'..should be here Tuesday.

I've noticed that screen protectors for this phone suck because the front glass has rounded edges. When I applied the screen protector that came with my case there was a space of about 1 or 2mm on all 4 sides that wasn't stuck to the screen because of the rounded edges. I ended up removing it within minutes because of this.

I bought this TurtleArmor case from Amazon, great quality. The only downside is that is white, no black or dark colors:

I also bought this one from CoverOn excellent quality but it is made for the Grand X and the back opening for the camera and finger print sensor is to small so I had to make it a little longer...

as already mentioned, the worst is screen protector size. i believe, in time, one will have close curvature to match and work perfectly as for cases.. with everyphone i own.. i go hard tpu silicone. ebay for like $7 and always happy.. (http://www.ebay.com/itm/For-ZTE-ZMa...hash=item5d672138ac:m:mgb5--UU9oaC5m8Y7kR9t0w) and no soft issues,, alwasy gives glass a small buffer area if falling face first

I got a clear case off of Amazon for $4.98. They're sold out now... but it fits perfectly. There are a lot of cases on eBay and Amazon right now, just be careful to read the description, they lied in one description and I got stuck with two "IMPERIAL MAX" cases that didn't fit.

Search for Z981 CASES. Ebay seems to have more. Be sure to take a good look at the cut out area for the fingerprint scanner. Make sure it looks big enough.

How did you make the back cover bigger?

Got case mentioned above on AMZ...cheap crap, leather is trash quality, and the rubber holder doesn't fit the phone well at all, buttons are not aligned properly, and back is too thick for a comfortable finger-sensor unlock. Avoid.

I should add that I went to MetroPCS with a friend today to score on this (only one they got in today, these are flying out of the stores accord. to saleslady) ZmaxPro, and they had better cases than my store had...one was a metallic looking plastic hard case with a silicone rubber bumper/case. It had a kickstand, and appeared quite robust, but a bit bulky. Certainly drop proof, and was $15 sold to my bud for $10.

Same style of cssey friend has for his lg g style and admittedly it's pretty light.


However I prefer the slimmest case possible but a kickstand on a phone this size is hard to pass up.

It can be a hit or miss at times. I've usually had good success with Spartan brand ones when available. This is a nice set:

It's ugly I know, but it's cheap and I've had similar cases like this, they are decent and get the job done. Mine should be here on the 29th.

Here is the case I got for mine. I always get this type of case where the inner layer is soft rubber and the outer layer is a hard but flexible plastic that wraps around all four corners because I feel it gives better shock protection against impact from any angle.

5318008- I usually buy super slim as well a coupla mm at most. I've stuck with Diztronic for a few years on my Nexus stuff, but so far none from them on this phone. Spigen is pretty close to Diz, tho...we'll see.

The screen protector with mine was crap too. It was too large and didn't cling to the rounded edges of the screen. I don't really use screen protectors anyway. Usually I don't scratch my screen. If I damage the screen on my phone it's usually because I ran it over or smashed it in some other way that requires the entire digitizer and LCD panel be replaced.

How did you make the back cover bigger?

I just marked with a pencil and then used a really sharp blade... It takes a lot of effort cause the back is made of some type of hard acrylic material...
