Share your little known favorite apps

Cm cleaner is just not needed on modern phones. What it does is placebo and may hamper performance. As for ES Explorer, if you don't care about privacy - then no, it will not harm your phone or files. But if you care, it tracks your behaviour and uploads to Chinese server. It's all bloated and spammy now anyway. And like cm cleaner, it now offers deceiving and utterly useless features. You can search about that, you will see a whole suite of reasons why ES is now bullshit. There are lots of better alternatives out there (like just pick one among Mixplorer, Solid Explorer and FX Explorer), so there's really no reason to stick to ES.

I use my devices for work.

Dictadroid. I have not found a better dictation app.

myTimeSheet: a simple way to track my billable work time.

Calengoo: best calendar app in my opinion.

WPS: free office productivity app that was available for free long before Microsoft offered their versions. I have found no reason to change.

Keepassdroid: securely stores all of my usernames and passwords.

Dropbox: well known app which syncs all of the above info and allows me to share with coworkers.

Yeah, he didn't convince me to make a change.... Last Pass has never failed me.
It has in fact, saved my legal ass a couple of times when I totally lost all of my passwords in a major moment of stupidity.
I used to just log them into a Word Document, but, that darn thing is hard to keep up todate, and if you aren't home, it never gets updated.....

I logged into the Vault Online and then exported all the info back to my PC.

back in the daze before there were cellphones that could be used with apps and passwords, it was okay :)

  • Llama: Free automation app like Tasker. (E.g. If at church, turn off ringer. If connected to car Bluetooth launch Pandora. If connected to car Bluetooth & charging, launch Waze. If between midnight and 8AM turn off ringer unless it's one of my family members.)
  • GTask: Free. Syncs with Google tasks for easy "To Do" lists on phone/PC/Mac.
  • Ulysse Gizmos: Free. Compass, GPS coordinates & altitude, bubble level, map of readable GPS satellites overhead, etc.
  • ReadItToMe: Free. Reads aloud (text-to-speech) incoming texts (and/or emails) if you're connected to particular Bluetooth devices or headphones, etc., So if, e.g. you're driving, you can get your incoming text messages while keeping your eyes on the road.
  • DockClock: Free. Nightstand/nighttime clock that can display time (dimly) and have the display orbit around the screen so that you don't get screen burn-in (especially important for OLED displays).
