safe to charge zmax pro with smart charger 3.0?

Good luck.
Sorry for being so brief, had to sneak that reply in.

It seems like Zmax 'debatedly' is 1.0

Even though speed gain is negligible from 2 to 3, the latter is 'adjustable smart charging @ more varying rates'...
Ego less power leakage = less heat = longer lasting & more efficient battery & phone.

It's probably safer to use than what came with the phone!

I'm gonna try it with portable power packs and tablets - they all either take too long to charge, or adapters overheat excessively.

Did you try this from 0 to 100?
I'm not challenging you, BTW.

Yes, I did. The charge from the original charger charges at about 1% per minute. A full charge from 0% to 100% (without using the phone while charging) confirmed it. It took 1 hour and 40 minutes. Also, you can plug the phone in at any time and test it for yourself, it's always 1% per minute on the original charger. So, anyone testing other chargers should use THAT as their guide to see if a different charger is getting better results.

You know why I asked?
I thought it charged faster at the lower %'s, then slower the more the battery was full.
I never get the chance to monitor this for too long.
And I just realized I could be mixing up the numbers with the Stylo.

Wow.
If this is with no direct use, then it's the stark reality of how apps update, sync, phone home, run in the background... how all Location & Google apps use BT/NFC/Wifi even when set Off.
And if the network signal is weak, forget about it.

I'll never really find out - I'm always on the move, often underground.
And when able to sit still I tether / cast other stuff to it... often can't access a power outlet.
Then when home sleep & everyone distracts / calls...

So by force charging speed doesn't really matter - being anal:oops: about plugging in spurts during the day / completely overnight.
To the point that the backup power block hardly ever is needed - maybe once a week.
