Accessories Nexus one android sleeve for the Incredible (2)

Okay,

There was a thread on this, but it was merged into the massive accessories thread, which I think was a bad move (But I won't get into that).

I just got my nexus one sleeve in from FedEx about 5 minutes ago so I am here posting what I think.

1) The incredible (no case) fits fine in the sleeve. It slips in easy, but if you hold it upside down and shake it, the phone slowly slips out until about the 10th shake, and then it falls out. (But who will be holding it upside down and shaking it like a baby).:D

2) The incredible (with hard plastic gradient snap on case) will fit into the sleeve with some pushing and stretching. The issue is, You are not going to be able to get the phone out in a hurry to answer a phone call. The first time I put my Inc in the sleeve it took me about 20-30 seconds to get it out. Maybe that was because I was afraid of damaging the phone by pulling from the top and squeezing the bottom of the sleeve like a tube of toothpaste.

3) With the hard case on the Inc and the Inc in the sleeve the top corners of the phone sticks out slightly (maybe a few centimeters). So if you drop it and it lands just right (or wrong) it will hit the hard plastic case. But that is what the case is there for, right???

I will take and post some photos if I get any requests.

I tried to get the phone in the sleeve with the silicone case and it was way too tight. With no case on at all I can pull it out of the sleeve pretty fast for phone calls.

I wonder if the neoprene case will stretch out permanently and hold the larger shape for the case? If so, over time maybe it will loosen up a bit.

Just got my sleeve. It's very nice, but as expected, it is a very tight fit with the phone in the silicone case. It does fit, but it takes a bit of force to pull it out.

how much was the case and where did you order it from

$14.99 total with shipping. There was a pretty big thread about it, but as the OP said it was merged with the Accessories thread.

I called 1-888-216-4736 (Nexus One support) and just said I wanted to buy the sleeve. A few people had problems because some sales reps wouldn't allow it to be ordered without a Nexus One IMEI number. I had the same problem at first but I called back to get a different person and ordered it with no questions asked.

Since the anttenna is is the bottom of the phone anyone thinking of puuting the phone in upside down????

Plus if you put it in that way your closer to the answer call button....Just some food for thought

Good idea, but you would not be able to push the lock/unlock button. If you push it down into the sleeve it might push the button. Also, I don't these neoprene would block a cell signal.

I have walls in my house, i don't think a small piece of neoprene is going to block my signal much.
mine was on table when i woke up at 7pm today, fits nice, destroyed my zagg, omg it sucked, put on a WriteWright. They worked great on my storm, ill use it until i can get the steinheil crystal.

Yup, it a really nice case, the Inc fits like a glove, but that's about all. I just hope it doesn't begin to pull off my screen protector.

If I decide to use it with a case I may try wetting it and putting a piece of wood inside to stretch it out.

Just to follow-up, I put my iPod (which has a hard case on it) inside the Nexus One case for about two minutes or so and it stretched it enough so that my Inc with the silicon case now fit's inside like a glove.

Edit.

I just realized that a deck of cards works really well for stretching the Nexus one case.

I ordered mine yesterday, should be here Monday or Tuesday. I got my 16gb sd card in the mail and had to take my case off of the phone to put it in, after holding the phone again without a case on it I didn't want to put the case back on so I am going to use this without the case on it.

Haha, same here. I'm loving the naked phone + Nexus sleeve too much to even worry about my silicone case anymore.

I got mine today and decided to make a slot for the charging cable. I used a straight razor to slice the side. I then heated up the blade with a lighter and melted the material around the hole to hopefully prevent fraying.

Its barely noticeable and now I have protection while charging, which tends to be the time my phone gets dropped.
