Ordered my Pixel XL

I'd love to have one. I have waited patiently for 23 months since buying my N6 for a phone I wanted and I want this one. Preferably an XL in blue and with 128 GB storage. 2 problems ... they don't seem to offer the blue in XL 128 and fi does not offer blue at all, oh and then there's the simple problem of it being nearly 900 bucks. UGH I expected to pay a premium but not as much as a house payment. Grrrrr

I'm moving from a N6 also. I am assuming that like the N6, this phone will support AT&T as well as the other carriers.

Someone said that you get a free Daydream viewer when you order? I went back an scrolled down to the bottom of the page and read this disclaimer...

Terms and Conditions

Offer applies to redemption of one Daydream View VR headset with the pre-order of a Pixel phone on the Google Store in the U.S. starting on 10/4/2016 and available while supplies last. After a qualifying purchase of a Pixel phone, a promo code will be emailed within approximately 4 weeks from the Pixel phone shipment date. The promo code must be used on the Google Store before 12/31/2016 and will expire after this date. The promo codes are not stored value, are for one-time use only, cannot be transferred to other users, cannot be exchanged for cash or cash equivalent, and have no balance after one-time use. Google Inc. is not liable for lost or stolen promo codes, or for expired promo codes that are not redeemed before 12/31/2016. To be eligible, user must be a US resident, age 13 or older, and have or activate a Google Payments account. Terms subject to applicable laws. Void where prohibited.

Lucky me...

Does that mean you'd have to have a Google Pay account, if so not happening here. (that is even if I did order one) I refuse to have any payment sources on my phone. Too easy to get out into the wild IMHO. The only card Google knows I have is the one I pay my Fi account on and that's literally the only thing that card gets used for. No way I am going to run around using my cell phone to pay at stores. (I don't even use my phone to shop online.)

Sadly I would think my N6 will be my last Nexus device. The pixel phones are just too expensive for what they are..

#No front facing dual speakers,
#Looks like an iPhone,
#No 64gb version - 32gb is too low so I would need to 128gb version
#£819 ? Or £60pm on contract.. Or £40+ with a one off payment of £150.

No thanks, not unless there is some amazing deal somewhere to be had.

NOW I get it:
http://www.ubergizmo.com/2016/10/google-easy-switch-iphone-to-pixel/

I've already seen a post on here from an iPhone user wanting to swap to a pixel. Seems that the target market for these phones, shame the Nexus had to die for the sake of a marketing idea.

Just had a read up on the 32gb version and it would seem you get 23gb of usable space once the OS and default apps are taken into account. Not anywhere enough; for me at least.

It's a shame as I wanted to like these phones, but they fall flat on design, features and cost for me.

When you get it and use I would love to hear the reviews! I have a Nexus 6 and absolutely love it! I want the pixel but the screen size is well I just don't know! I'm on a 6 and dropping to a 5.5 I am not a big fan of that!
Will do. My last two phones have been 5.7". (Note 4 and Moto X Pure). Honestly, I'm not sure I will be able to tell the difference. I can totally see how one might be able to going from a Nexus 6 to the Pixel XL however.

Thank you! I had a Nexus 5 before and it wasn't bad! Now I'm so used to the 6! You may not! I'm hoping that the phone just is that good where it won't bother me! If not ill probably look into the lgv20 or note 7!

Note user transplant here... looking forward to this phone after everything that happend with the note I'm going to ride with the pixel xl for the year atleast until we see what happens with the note 8... for the price of the phone the note is still a much better deal and it's around 20$ cheaper than this phone but right now there isn't any other android flagship store that have my interest that can hold its own with the iPhone so yeah that's where I'm at..

Placed my order for a Quite Black, XL, 128. I'm probably going to regret spending so much, but I've wanted a phone from the Play Store (a Nexus, but this is sort of the same) for quite some time. Currently using a Verizon branded S6 and I seriously want to throw it against the wall on a daily (first world problem, I know).

I made the mistake of hesitating and placed my order about 45 minutes after it went on sale... I now have a delivery of Oct 26-28 :(. I also did receive an email stating that I qualified for the Daydream promo code.

For clarification (and I'm probably being petty). If I'm not mistaken, you can only make a purchase on the Google Store if you have a Google account and if you have a valid payment method stored on your account. This, however, is not the same as Android Pay (assuming that's what was meant when Google Pay was mentioned). You don't have to use Android Pay and unless you go into the app and accept the terms and add your cards (which can pull your Google payment methods), you don't have to use Android Pay and you aren't automatically enrolled (for lack of a better term) into Android Pay.

Can't wait to get my phone! What if they start shipping them sooner? And we get them sooner!? Ugh, I know, wishfull thinking... I'll be counting down the days... 18 days left (from the date of this post LOL)

My Very Silver Pixel XL 128 GB has a date of November 23 - 25. I'm trying so very hard to remain patient, but it's not easy.
