This shows a pretty good demo of all the different weather. It is the HD2, but they are pretty similar on this feature. Look at slide 5.

Couldn't agree with you more, the weather animations on the Eris are amazing and the thunderstorm one is definitely entertaining. I recorded a video back in March of it. LOL I'm a meteorologist, graduated as of yesterday and there's a thunderstorm watch in my area now. Check out my video at YouTube - Thunderstorm Animation on Eris.

Snow looks awesome. Small flakes gradually come down from the screen, the outside edges get frosted over like your looking out a window, and the widget itself gets ice that forms at the top corners and looks like it froze dripping down the side. Tight.

Change the clock. The thing is way too big anyway. I think most people just deal with it because of the weather...

If you guys didnt know, there is a way to preview every weather effect on 2.1.. - Touch the weather widget to bring up the current weather and 5 day forecast - Press the Menu button - Press "Demo" - Slide up and down to change the effect.. now you dont have to wait for the weather to change to see the different effects.. the monsoon one sucks... water started pouring from the trackball. got my damn keyboard all wet [/joke]
