I haven't had a decent tablet in forever but I am now looking at getting one . I've seen the lenovo with in built projector that looks quality but a little expensive . So what would people recommend primarily for movies and browsing. With some elearning for work.

My last tablet never got used cos it was so slow . My fault for not getting advice and going with a bargain .

Open to any suggestions while I weigh up options

I got my son one of the Lenovo Tab 2 models from Argos for about £75 and for the price I've been really impressed with it.

RAM is limited, but at the same time, if you only want to browse and watch films etc, you'll hardly notice. He doesn't have any issues with the games he plays (Minecraft PE mainly) and the battery seems to last for an age.

One of the boys at work has the 10" variant of the same tab as me and is also impressed with it.

What's your budget?

That, or the Shield K1 tablet (I can't decide if I want better performance and a smaller screen or lesser spec, but bigger screen) are what I'm looking to get myself around Black Friday or in the Xmas sales.

Your budget is roughly the same as mine and in that range, I don't think you'll find much better specs tbh.

I've actually just found this one and at a discounted rate saving a bit of cash too http://www.argos.co.uk/product/4447267

I think this is a much better device from Argos, bit more expensive though.

10 inch Acer Iconia Tab10. Double the storage of the Lenovo, IMO 16GB internal is just not enough in a modern Android device these days especially if you like apps and games, better screen resolution(full HD), and Android 6.0 Marshmallow as opposed to 5.1. And it's still a reputable brand. Although it is MediaTek MTK processor, if you're into custom ROMs and modding, this is probably not so good.

I've just picked up a 7" tab2 from our local ASDA (for less than the price of a crate of Beer)... mainly to run office365 and associated apps on it... perfomance wasn't bad, but you really notice the memory struggling when you have multiple apps open, and encrypting it may not have been the best way to get performance our of it.

Don't think Santa will be delivering tablets in our house this year, but very interested to see what people are looking at in the UK at the moment.
