ZTE Write Protection for ZMAX and other ZTE phones

some one made a video, and did not credit me for finding this stuff

I can tell everyone, that is one of the reasons I do not develop any more, and If I ever find a way to disable the WP on the newer phones or anything else like this, I will try to make some type of app to perform it and charge everyone 10 or 20 bucks for the app, or just keep it a secret.

So you root with pc first then use terminal to do the reboot and rw?

So you root with pc first then use terminal to do the reboot and rw?

this is how I would try it

Use a spare computer if you have one, KingoRoot is kind of shady, and installs crap apps
If you do not have a spare computer, do some type of system backup on your computer or use the Windows system restore and make a restore point.

disable any security apps that came with phone or that you installed on phone
enable unknown sources on phone
enable developer options on phone
enable usb debugging on phone
hook phone up to computer and install the usb drivers on computer
obtain a copy of adb and install it on the computer http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2588979
open windows command prompt on computer and type

adb devices

you should see your device listed there, if not something is wrong and you need to figure out what it is before you continue

if your device is listed type

adb reboot disemmcwp

the phone should reboot at this point, if it does not, then something is not right

then install KingoRoot on computer and root the phone

So do i not have to reboot emmcwpenab or do that after root?

Understandable, Sir. Your help has always been wonderful ..but it's only been a cpl hrs, he's probably still trying to get it right or really excited and messing with it. Maybe he got too excited and accidentally erased a wrong file.. [emoji13][emoji92]

i downloaded the adb and installed it but nothing is showing up
If you are using Win10, there's some settings/boxes in control panel or UEFI somewhere that prevent driver installation until unchecked. Unchecked that box & install the drivers. That box will reset itself upon reboot but drivers will remain installed. FYI

Get your drivers installed first or you'll have a massive trouble getting anything else done at all in Windows. Hence, one of the may reasons to use Linux (no drivers needed). Working with Android in Windows is like using a conversion of a conversion, which obviously doesn't work well since Android is MADE from Linux
