Hey @Lenawil6316, welcome to our AndroidForums.

That package name you listed is the package (app) installer for Android.

It's something that would be used by the Play Store app to install or uninstall apps on your device.

It's a necessary / core part of your device--I wouldn't worry about it :).

Thank you very much for your reply. Thats what I was affraid it was for. Seen it in my husbands activity, sometimes several times a day. I believe he's using some app to talk to someone else without me knowing. So it doesn't show up on the phone bill. Is there some way for me to find out what app he may be installing and then uninstalling? It's on there several times everyday.
I'm not one to put our private info out there but I've tried figuring it out on my own. Even asked him about it but he just denies it of course. He has cheated on me more times than I can count. Then fights like hell to get me back. Thought things were good for a year so we finally got married. Now I keep seeing this.
Please help. How can I find out what it is? I'm not going to be played for a fool again. But I can't do anything with out proof.

I tend to check in on my SO time to time. But I'm the guy, and since we're all so open about our shitty lives and partners.....and it's the Internet after all. My woman I found had been lying to me about her past for nearly 7 years now, and children came along as well. And then she opens up about her NAVY "Tour of Duty" as I call it........

Anyway, I work in IT for the past 20 years, I'm not a Android Developer or anything, but to be a devil's advocate, is it possible that this is just app(s) auto-updating, perhaps trying getting on the device and disable all auto-updates and see if the activity changes at all?

Good luck,
We all need it.
