Help Any way of deleting all emails?

My Virgin Media email account went down earlier and now it's decided to upload every single email from the server to my phone. It now says 99+ emails (257 actually) and I want to mass delete them rather than delete them one by one.
Any way?

You could remove the email account and then add it again - that would work. Just make sure when you're setting it back up the retrieval settings are set to something like 50 emails or 2 days or something.

I have this problem almost daily. Removed 115 emails just this morning. One-by-one. No solution in sight. Maybe someone will write a small app?

It's fairly straight forward this.
select mail / menu / delete / menu / mark all / delete.

No "mark all" option so I assume you meant to put a red cross on every one.

Did about 48, deleted them and now they've all vanished yet the mail icon on the home screen still says 99+

Nope - no mark all on mine either I red-crossed all 115 (takes time). Mark all is exactly what is missing.

Yes i meant the red cross but 1 click for all hence 'mark all'
Very odd that it's not available to you as it most definately is on my desire which is a week old.
Dunno if it makes any difference but i am on Orange and the phone is unbranded... Apologies for the bad advice.

But you said there were actually 257... so 257 - 48 would still equal 99+

After I deleted the first lot, it somehow jumped to my "junk" folder and that's why I could see any more mail!

i need help, i added hotmail to my phone and then deleted it, the menu screen says i have 99+ emails i have tried re adding account but i get a message stating that account is already added..help!!!

I currently have one of the 'first generation' DROIDS that I am looking to upgrade. I love the DROID Razr - however -

The fact that I am unable to delete emails in bulk has been a MAJOR issue for me on my current DROID. (I currently have over 4700 "deleted" emails ... and have cleaned out over 7,000 of them previously) I have sworn I would never buy another Motorola phone until they fixed the issue. I sounds like that may be the case.... but I just want to make sure.

On the new DROID Razr - can you "dump" or "select all" to delete ALL emails at the same time? Or, do you still have to click on each one individually??
