Hello,
i know this question has been asked thousand times.i am using 3g watchdog.but last night i did get hint of data usage in desire without installing 3g watchdog.so anyone can tell where is that?i am in Japan.and using softbank as provider.i am sure i saw it without installing any app.but just can't get it back./
any suggestions?

I just changed my system language to give you the exact wording.
Entering the phone number mentioned before, an application called Testing is invoked. Select the third item "battery history". The first spinner control lets you select CPU, GPS usage etc. Select "network usage". In the second spinner select the period of time that is of interest: "Since last unplugged", "Total since boot" or "Total in all time". Then select a program from the list below, which then invokes an activity displaying "Network usage details for [app]:", "Bytes received: ..." and so on.

Hope this helps as I can hardly imagine different behavior on this level. Btw: Desire without branding, maybe this matters.

Hi,

I don't know if you mean something as deeply hidden, but a way to get this information is:
- dial *#*#4636#*#*
- select battery protocol and set the spinners to "network usage" and "all time"
- click the bars to get details per application/service

I see three applications here... '0', '1010' and 'Android System'. The first two look suspicious...when I click on them I get an error. Any idea what they are?
